Moving Stories
Interactive performance experience
Moving Stories is a 1hr door to door interactive performance experience, performed by Katy Hewison for (and with!) young children 2-6yrs and their accompanying adults. Book for Nursery, School Spaces, Village Halls or Studio Theatres. The work is inspired by the key element of observation within learning environments (influenced by Montessori learning approaches, child/adult led pedagogy research). The work uses non verbal communication throughout and shifts between the different worlds of rules, choices and space to run free or observe.
It is beautiful to connect without spoken word. It brings all ages together, it could work anywhere in the world
My child liked that no one was talking. She enjoyed the calm bits and energetic bits. Non verbal communication (tick tick tick!)
Booking
Available for rural/urban early years settings bookings from 2026. This is a low tech show. Door to door, it includes a non verbal introduction, performance and workshop section, 1hr length. It is especially made for young children and their accompanying adults/nursery staff. Max Numbers of performances per day is 2. Max capacity is flexible due to venue/set up. Team consists of 1 performer & 1 support/technician.
