Research & Talks
Want to host an Improplay Talk at your venue?
Katy has given talks to businesses, schools and dance organisations about her work in early years environments and the Improplay Method. We have documented Improplay’s impact and experiences for children, artists and teachers in various ways since starting our project in 2019. This includes collaborations with specialists in early years, developing knowledge of learning approaches and carrying out evaluation methods such as artist diaries, children’s development logs and sharing insights into Improplay’s methodology such as, the use of observation, non verbal communication and improvisation in early years environments.
Improplay encourages imagination, creative decision making, independence and group listening, developing the role creativity & play can have within both dance (process & performance) & education environment
